As an artist, some classic paintings inspire me to create this mini meditation for stress relief.
Relax in the Forest
(This is not Sunny’s real voice)
Get comfy, whether you’re sitting or lying down. Relax your body and mind, close your eyes, and take a nice, deep breath.
So, picture yourself chilling under some Pine trees. You kick off your sneakers and give your feet a little rub. Then, out of the blue, a curious squirrel with a fluffy tail shows up, and you spot a bunch of nuts and seeds scattered around, along with loads of pine cones.
Summer’s said its goodbyes, and Autumn’s here, showing off its beauty to anyone who comes around. This is your chance to hang with Mother Nature during Autumn. While others are chilling by the river, you’re craving a bit of alone time.
Right now, you’re feeling totally relaxed, knowing you’ve got the whole afternoon to just let everything go. The explosion of colors – gold, brown, orange, yellow, and green – strikes you as you wander through the Pine Forest. The warmth from the Autumn sun feels like a cozy hug from your grandma’s scarf. You’re totally lost in the moment.
As you keep going through the forest, you notice a change in the air. Take a deep breath and catch the whiff of grass mixed with a hint of smoke from somewhere nearby.
Encounter the artists
Looking around, you see artists painting away in the open air. Every so often, a bird swoops by their easels, adding a sweet tune to the peaceful scene. Sketch papers scattered across the grass tell stories of the artist’s inspiration.
Birch trees line the water’s edge as you move along the riverbank. The warmth of the sun, the burst of autumn colors, and the gentle breeze – all of it makes you feel totally grounded, like you’re part of the earth itself.
As you soak up the beauty of nature and the creativity of the artists around you, take a moment to appreciate this tranquil oasis in the Pin Forest. Let the sights, sounds and scents of Autumn envelop you in a sense of peace and harmony.
Now, slowly bring your awareness back to the present moment. Wiggle your toes, gently open your eyes, and take one final deep breath before returning to your day.
Remember, you can always revisit this serene place in your mind whenever you need a moment of calm and inspiration. Embrace the creativity within you, and let it flourish like the vibrant colors of Autumn in the Pine Forest.
May creativity, serenity, and connection to the beauty of the world fill your day.
What is Meditation?
I’ve been practicing meditation for several years. I definitely love it. In case you are not familiar with this topic, let me explain what meditation is:
Imagine your mind is like a wild river, rushing and churning with thoughts, worries, and distractions. Meditation is like finding a peaceful spot by the riverbank where you can sit and watch the water flow by.
At first, your mind might still be turbulent, just like the river. But as you sit there quietly, focusing on your breath or a calming mantra, you start to notice something interesting happening. The river of your thoughts begins to slow down. The distractions fade away, leaving you with a sense of calm and clarity.
Meditation isn’t about emptying your mind completely; that’s nearly impossible. Your thoughts should not sweep away you, instead, observing your thoughts is the focus. It’s like being an observer on the riverbank, watching the thoughts drift by like leaves on the water.
With regular practice, meditation can help you develop a stronger sense of inner peace, reduce stress, and improve your focus and clarity of mind. It’s like giving yourself a mental spa treatment, helping you recharge and find balance in the midst of life’s busyness.
